Sorry, I know I'm on a roll with bad puns but I just can't help myself.
I might have also used She who laughs last, laughs best but it didn't have the
same ring to it.
Anyway, after taking what was probably the best walk I've had in over two weeks
(it was the first time the mercury topped 32F in a long, long time), the boss
man plunks me into the bath tub. Seems I had an itchy spot on my tail and for
some sad, strange reason, his solution to itchy is to give a bath. So anyway,
you might have heard Lyle complaining about how this tar baby shampoo has to
stay on for a while before it can get washed off. Well, as you can imagine,
there I was sitting, shivering away in the tub when the boss man decides to take
a few pictures. He rationalized it by saying that I just had to sit there anyway
so he might as well amuse himself.
After an eternity, the bath was over and the day went on as usual. Lyle was
pretty nervous for a while but after an hour or so he let his guard down
thinking all was clear. Well imagine my delight when six hours or so later he
landed in the tubby! Ha! No pictures though. Oh well.
